McCLUNG TOWER PARKING GARAGE

We encourage all patrons to park in the McClung Tower Parking Garage (G2) on Volunteer Blvd. It’s free and reserved exclusively for you! Look for the parking flags and friendly parking attendant in front of the entrance.

Once you are parked, simply take stairs or the elevator at the back of the garage to the 1st floor, walk straight ahead, and exit the Humanities Building. The Clarence Brown Theatre will be right in front of you. It’s less than a two-minute walk. Please be aware that there are two sets of stairs between the Humanities Building and the theatre plaza.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING

Any patron without a government-issued handicap parking placard or a CBT Society VIP parking pass will be rerouted to park at the McClung Tower Parking Garage.

If you have a government-issued handicap parking placard, a very limited number of reserved spaces are available in Staff Lot 23. Due to ongoing construction of the Jenny Boyd Carousel Theatre, our former accessible parking spaces have been relocated to Staff Lot 23 behind the theatre. Our friendly parking attendants will greet you and assist you in traveling between the parking lot and the lobby via wheelchair or motorized vehicle. Accessible spaces are extremely limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

This is the best place to drop off patrons with mobility issues.

Staff Lot 23 address for GPS: 1714 Andy Holt Dr, Knoxville, TN, 37916

The Clarence Brown Theatre is conveniently located on the campus of the University of Tennessee, just minutes away from downtown Knoxville. We are easily accessible from both I-40 and I-75, as well as US-129/Alcoa Highway. Detailed directions can be found by scrolling below. We highly encourage patrons to access campus only from the north and to completely avoid entering campus from the south or west. Thompson-Boling Arena is located on the south-side of campus and routinely hosts concerts and sporting events which cause traffic back-ups on Neyland Drive and Lake Loudon Boulevard and often require road closures. Lindsey Nelson Stadium is located on the west-side of campus and will cause traffic back-ups on Volunteer Boulevard during baseball games. The most consistently reliable entrance to campus and McClung Tower Parking Garage is to enter from the north, turn left onto Cumberland Avenue, and turn right onto Volunteer Boulevard.
