Deepika “Develyn” Jayan is a second year MFA acting student at UT. She is also a resident actor at the Clarence Brown Theatre and was previously seen on stage as the ‘Ghost of Christmas Past’ in A Christmas Carol (2023), ensemble in The giver (2024) and ‘Lina’ in Cry it Out (2024). On screen, she played the lead in Hell is High School Theatre (2024), premiering at Film Fest Knox, and can be seen in the promotional video for Knox Children’s Foundation. Develyn is an Indian classical dancer, a yogi, and a martial artist. She has been performing since the age of five through various dance-dramas as well as street plays back in India, and she is here to make professional American theatre her next home.
