Parking Information
CARS
The UT Parking Services fee for individual cars is $5 per vehicle. Spaces are limited and we encourage you to carpool. If parking permits are requested BEFORE payment deadline dates, we will mail your parking passes, and a map indicating parking areas, prior to the performances. For those teachers and chaperones in cars, there is limited parking in LOT 23 behind the CBT. Those ordering LOT 23 parking passes are advised to access LOT 23 from Volunteer Blvd. to Pat Head Summit Dr. and enter LOT 23 from the entrance closest to the Natalie Haslam Music Building. Bus and Van Parking are not permitted in Lot 23. Please allow extra time when parking. We will have limited day of permits for emergencies that can be purchased for $5, please advise one of our patron services members if this is needed when you arrive.
DIRECTIONS TO STEPHENSON DRIVE BUS/VAN PARKING AREA FROM THE VOLUNTEER BOULEVARD DROP OFF POINT:
Buses/Vans MUST drop students off between the Humanities/Social Sciences building and the Art & Architecture building directly across from the torchbearer statue and Circle Park (please see map on following page). After dropping off at this location, buses/vans can proceed to the first traffic light and take a Left turn onto Lake Loudon Boulevard. Proceed to the second traffic light and turn Right at Neyland Drive. Go approximately ½ mile, just past the KUB Kuwahee Wastewater Treatment Plant and turn Right onto Joan Cronan Way. Proceed to the STOP sign and take a Left turn on Stephenson Drive. Parking for buses/vans is on the right in front of the UT Soccer Stadium. Bus/van parking is complimentary. Please note there is no transportation from Van/Bus parking to the theatre.
TO MAKE YOUR VISIT A MEMORABLE ONE, WE OFFER SEVERAL INCENTIVES:
- Each student ticket is only $6 each.
- One complimentary ticket is available per 10 student tickets. [A maximum of 25% of the group may be comprised of chaperones to ensure that as many students as possible have the opportunity to attend our productions. Exceptions will be made for homeschools.]
- Study guides will be sent to you prior to the performance to help you prepare your students.
TICKET SUBSIDIES:
Student ticket subsidies (STS) for schools are available through the Tennessee Arts Commission (TAC). The application and guidelines can be accessed here.
As a part of the Season for Youth program, discussion guides are available for teachers and are mailed out. Interested groups can also request post-performance discussions with the actors and/or technicians or tours of the facility to further broaden the educational experience.
Note: We are unable to admit children under five (5) years of age. Due to fire code restrictions, lap-seating is strictly prohibited.
Please make your reservations as early as possible as reservations are made on a first come, first served basis.
Student matinees frequently sell out, in which case schools/classes are placed on a waiting list for admission. Students younger than 5 will not be admitted into the theatre auditorium. Changes made to an order after the payment deadline are not guaranteed and are subject to availability. More information is available by calling our Box Office at (865) 974-5161.
