The Clarence Brown Theatre (CBT) is enthusiastic and eager to provide an affordable and unique avenue for younger patrons in the Greater Knoxville community to enjoy live theatre. Not many know that the CBT is a professional theatre company housed on a university campus. We hire professional theatre artists from across the country to work alongside our undergraduate and graduate students to produce top notch theatre that some have said are comparable with shows they’ve seen in New York and Chicago!
