McClung Tower Upper Level Parking Garagehelpfulhints_2

We encourage all patrons attending Clarence Brown Theatre produced productions to park in the upper level McClung Tower Parking Garage on Volunteer Blvd. IT’S FREE! We reserve this garage exclusively for you for each performance.
A security guard is present to confirm you are attending the theatre. Once you park in the garage, take the elevator to the 1st floor, walk straight ahead, exit the Humanities Building,
and the Clarence Brown and Carousel Theatres are in front of you. It’s less than a five-minute walk. Please be aware that there are two sets of stairs between the Humanities Building and the theatre plaza.

University Staff Parking Lot 23

Parking in Lot 23 is often very limited due to campus activities. If you park in Staff Lot 23 behind the theatre, the UT Parking Services Office may collect a $10 fee to park there if in event mode. Patrons that may have mobility issues and VIP parking for patrons with either a government-issued disabled driver license plate and placard or VIP pass is located in Lot 23 immediately adjacent to the theatre. The best place to drop off elderly patrons or patrons with mobility issues is at the corner of Melrose Place and Andy Holt Avenue, right beside the Lab Theatre (also located between the Carousel Theatre and the CBT). Patrons will receive a detailed map of the campus along with their tickets so they can locate other parking lots convenient to the theatre. We can no longer provide parking vouchers.helpfulhints_1

If you are disabled, reserved spaces are available on the south side of the building near the accessible entrance. Please inform the House Manager at 865-974-8287 if you require special assistance entering the building.

Vol Trolley Transportation to the Theatre

By using the Vol Trolley that runs between Downtown Knoxville and campus, patrons can stop by the Clarence Brown Theatre Box Office Monday through Friday from Noon to 5:00 pm.  The Vol Trolly is a free public transit service that operates until 6:00pm weekdays. Get off the Vol Trolly at the Circle Park stop. Walk north beside the Art & Architecture building and the Clarence Brown Theatre will be on your left (look for the fountain in front of our building).
