Christy has been the Prop Shop Supervisor at the Clarence Brown Theatre since 2005 and is responsible for furniture, hand props, and set dressing (e.g. curtains, wall dressing, carpet, and foliage) for all of the CBT’s productions. Some of her favorite props include the carousel horse-bicycle from On the Razzle, the smoking coal effect from the 2007-2011 A Christmas Carol, a spring loaded clock from Frog and Toad, the Crystal Met Chandelier from Amadeus, and the barber chair from Sweeney Todd. Along with her husband, Christy is a founding partner in Stage Right Creative, a local production company specializing in commercial and live entertainment for the stage. Stage Right Creative’s credits include work for The Coca Cola Company and Fee and Hendricks who manage The Black Bear Jamboree, Hatfield and McCoy, Smoky Mountain Opry, and The Bob Nelson Comedy Show, all located in Pigeon Forge, TN. Other work include work for The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, The Knoxville Opera, The Drury Lane Theatre and Paramount Theatre in Chicago Illinois. For the last three summers Christy has worked abroad for Opera companies in Italy and Brazil as a Properties Designer and most recently Production Manager.
