Curtis Craig is happy to be back working with John Sipes after sound designing and composing for last season’s The Whipping Man, which was his fourth show for the Clarence Brown Theatre. He is an active freelance sound designer & composer, as well as the head of the undergraduate sound design program at Penn State University. In addition to sound design, he also works and teaches in the areas of media design and show control. His design and composition work can be seen and heard on his website at In 2009, his composition and sound design work for Pentecost was awarded the grand prize at the World Stage Design exposition in Seoul, South Korea. Recently, his work has been seen and heard at the Dallas Theater Center, Watertower Theatre, Arkansas Rep, and Pennsylvania Centre Stage. In addition to his theater work, he has served as a recording engineer and producer for a wide variety of musical projects and styles. His recordings with the Grammy award nominated contemporary music ensemble, Voices of Change include Harold Blumenfeld’s song cycle Mythologies.
