Rachel Ford is currently the Executive Director of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. She is responsible for overseeing the financial, fundraising, marketing, education and operations aspects of the Symphony.  She joined the Orchestra in April 2007. Previously, she worked for the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra (IA), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the University Musical Society in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Rachel is a graduate of the League of American Orchestra’s Orchestra Management Fellowship Program, having worked with the Kalamazoo, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, Fort Worth and Syracuse symphonies. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Rachel holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Knoxville, Executive Women’s Association, Joy of Music School Board of Directors, and is Secretary of the League of American Orchestras Group 5/6 Managers Committee.
