Kathryn Paden – received a bachelors in Vocal Performance from Tennessee Wesleyan University. A Knoxville native, she is a private voice teacher and sings with the Knoxville Choral Society and Knoxville Chamber Chorale. Concert solo experience: Mozart’s Requiem, Forrest’s Jubilate Deo, Purifoy’s Chronicles of Blue and Gray, Brahms’ Requiem (German and English), Bach’s Magnificat, Bach’s Cantata 140, and Handel’s Messiah. She has also been the featured soloist at the Mighty Musical Monday concert series at the Tennessee Theater. Kathryn has shared the theatrical stage with several companies but is excited to be making her debut with CBT! Past roles: Strange Woman (Big River), Jack’s Mother (Into the Woods), Celestial Chorus (Mefistofele), Dorothy Brock (42nd Street), Swing/ensemble for Annie, Get Your Gun, Guys and Dolls, and The Sound of Music. Kathryn is grateful for the opportunity to share the story of Candide with Knoxville, and gives special thanks to her family, friends, and educators for their endless support.
