Steve Sherman
(Director and Choreographer) is thrilled to make his directing debut at the CBT! He received his MFA in Acting from UT in 2016 and has performed in 12 productions at the CBT including The Whipping Man, Spamalot!, 4000 Miles, Of Mice & Men, The Open Hand and most recently King Charles III. In 2018 he began teaching acting and theatre undergraduate courses at UT. He has worked as an actor and writer all over the country including the new work process at The Kennedy Center and O’Neill Theatre Center. As an undergraduate at Western Washington University he was nationally recognized for acting and playwriting by the Kennedy Center for his play Brian and Joe. On camera work includes several independent films and commercials. His short film The Piano Love Affair, based on the true story of Charlie Brakebill’s WWII deployment, won multiple awards at the 2019 Knoxville Film Festival.  Theatre directing credits include The Actor’s Nightmare and Scapino, as well as short play festivals and showcases. All thanks to God, Hana and our little rock star William. A special shout out to our parents (especially Cyndy!) whose babysitting made our lives so much easier. Also, much thanks to Cal and Tom for this opportunity, and the cast, stage managers, designers, crew and creative team at the CBT.
