Micah-Shane is happy to be back at the CBT for another year of A Christmas Carol. He is the Artistic Director of Encore Theatrical Company. He received his MFA in Acting from the University of Tennessee, and bachelor degrees in both Drama and Music at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. With over 75 directing credits, he has directed and produced a number of shows, including Les Misérables, One Man Two Guvnors, Into the Woods, Cabaret, Hairspray, Noises Off, Inherit the Wind, Company, Absurd Person Singular, Assassins, The Laramie Project, and Jesus Christ Superstar, to name a few. While at the University of Tennessee, Micah-Shane was seen in Clarence Brown Theatre productions of Monty Python’s Spamalot (Sir Robin), A Christmas Carol (Bob Cratchit), Sweeney Todd (Tobias), Our Country’s Good, On The Razzle, Kiss Me, Kate, It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, and The Trip to Bountiful. Encore acting credits include: Sunday in the Park with George (George), The Full Monty (Malcolm), Cats (Munkustrap), Our Town (Stage Manager), and Three Days of Rain (Walker/Ned). Micah-Shane has produced concerts with artists like Sutton Foster, Donna McKechnie, Stephanie J. Block, Liz Callaway, Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley. He also serves as an adjunct instructor and coaches private students. He has written for The Sondheim Review and is a member of the Actors’ Equity Association.
