Carlène Pochette, originally from the French Saint Martin island in the West Indies, is honored to return to the Clarence Brown Theatre for one of Chekhov’s classics. Now a third year MFA Acting Candidate at UT, Carlène was recently seen at the Clarence Brown Theatre in Around the World in 80 Days (’17), The Busy Body: A Comedy (’17), A Christmas Carol (’16) as Christmas Past, The Crucible (’16) as “Tituba”, South Pacific (’16), and A Lesson Before Dying (’16) as “Vivienne Baptiste.” Prior to that, she has performed in many independent film and theatre productions in Philadelphia, including Ruined, Under the Cherry Tree, The Piano Lesson, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, and By the Way, Meet Vera Stark. Carlène holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and is a proud union member of AEA. “Your heart is free, have the courage to follow it.”
